As a person who generally doesn't write e-mail or spend much time on the phone I've always been a bit skeptical about the blogging phenomenon. Why would someone want to display their life online? I'm not sure that I have the full answer to that question, but I did realize a few weeks ago how much my friends truly matter and how much I'm going to miss them.
Now that Ellen and I are moving to Korea for the next few years I feel like maintaining an active journal of our experiences will play a vital role in keeping old relationships alive.
The trick is to just keep posting......
